In 2021 VYRE Network entered into a 5-year media rights agreement with the WNFC. This exclusive partnership has VYRE broadcasting all of the WNFC’s regular-season home games, as well as their playoffs and IX Cup championship game from 2022 through the end of the 2026 season. This will be the first time that a network has carried a full season of women’s professional tackle football games exclusively. With this deal, VYRE Network and the WNFC will benefit from an increase in commercial advertisements, exclusive sponsorship opportunities, and enhanced brand recognition.
In addition, new viewership on the network is expected to increase substantially now that VYRE is livestreaming all of the WNFC’s games this year, and not releasing games two days later as video-on-demand. As viewership increases, VYRE’s programmatic advertising will increase, which will translate to an increasing revenue stream being generated from the broadcasting of the WNFC.
The 2021 season was a pivotal year for the growth of both VYRE Network and the WNFC as a result of this worldwide distribution partnership. With very little marketing, the partnership generated over 398,000 streams, which was considered a success for the first year. For 2022, in addition to the live game broadcasts, VYRE Network will be showcasing various supporting shows, documentaries, and exclusive content which promotes both WNFC football and the Women’s movement in sports.
